28th March 2022. *Salmon<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"ace-paragraph-basic-paragraph\">\n<div class=\"ace-field-body\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Scottish dietary goals<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government introduced changes to the Nutritional standards for Food and Drink regulations\u00a0in schools in April 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The changes to the regulations are based on the most up to date scientific evidence on diet and health and are designed to support the health of children and young people in the school setting. The food and drink that is provided across the school day is designed to support progress towards the Scottish Dietary Goals. This will help to ensure that children and young people, especially those receiving free school meals, have access to nutritionally balanced school lunches.<\/p>\n<p>In primary schools, we have been working towards these changes over the last 18 months and all our main meals already include two portions of vegetables, fruit is available daily and plain milk or chilled water are served with the two-course lunch.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Payment methods<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We have made changes to our payment methods in response to the Covid-19.\u00a0This includes taking cash out of the process, which will help reduce the spread of the virus. Local solutions will be in place for anyone who is unable to sign up for online payments.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Pre-order service<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The school takes a pre-order for pupils daily.\u00a0Pupils can select their meal early in the morning and secure their meal of choice.
