The deadline for these applications is <strong>20<sup>th<\/sup> January 2023<\/strong>.\u00a0 Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024 should register during this time for starting Primary 1 in August 2023.\u00a0 Information can be found here:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/primary-school-registration-p1\">https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/primary-school-registration-p1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please note that you <strong>should enrol your child at his\/her catchment school<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please bring your child along on any of the following dates to enrol them at St Mary\u2019s Primary School:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MONDAY 16<sup>th<\/sup> JAN:\u00a0 1.30pm \u2013 3.30pm<\/p>\n<p>TUESDAY 17<sup>TH<\/sup> JAN:\u00a0 1.30pm \u2013 3.30pm<\/p>\n<p>WEDNESDAY 18<sup>TH<\/sup> JAN:\u00a0 9.15am \u2013 10.30am, 3.15 \u2013 5.15pm<\/p>\n<p>FRIDAY 20<sup>TH<\/sup> JAN: 9.15am \u2013 10.30am, 1.30 \u2013 3.30pm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When enrolling a child, you MUST bring the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Child\u2019s birth certificate<\/li>\n<li>Current Council Tax bill as proof of address. If you do not have this, you can get a replacement from any NLC One Stop Shop.<\/li>\n<li>A baptismal certificate (if applicable) as children of all faiths and none are welcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A member of the Senior Management Team will meet with you and your child and complete the Enrolment Form with you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you wish your child to attend a different school from your catchment school then you can complete a placing request form, which can be found by visiting \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/placing-requests\">https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/placing-requests<\/a> and sent to <u><a href=\"mailto:ef.placingrequests@northlan.gov.uk\">ef.placingrequests@northlan.gov.uk<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Parents\/carers who wish to make an early entry request should contact their catchment area school or by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/early-entry\">https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/early-entry<\/a><u>.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Choosing a school booklet can also be downloaded from the Scottish Government website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotland.gov.uk\/Publications\/2010\/11\/10093528\/0\">www.scotland.gov.uk\/Publications\/2010\/11\/10093528\/0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Parent\/carers who wish to defer entry for their child to Primary School and who wish to apply for an additional year of part time pre-school education should register their child for school as described above and complete the deferred entry application form which can be obtained from the Primary School.\u00a0 Enquiries regarding Deferred Entry should be directed to the Head of Establishment in the first instance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure of your catchment school then please contact the school office on 01236 794860 anytime between 10am and 2pm.\u00a0 Further information regarding your catchment school can be obtained in the first instance by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/public\/inyourarea\">https:\/\/maps.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/public\/inyourarea<\/a> and selecting school catchments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Enrolments for new Primary 1 children beginning in August 2023 will be the week beginning 16th January 2023 \u2013 20th January 2023.
