{"id":9,"date":"2015-05-05T09:22:32","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T09:22:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/anntest3\/?page_id=9"},"modified":"2017-02-16T10:22:06","modified_gmt":"2017-02-16T10:22:06","slug":"aims","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stmarys\/aims\/","title":{"rendered":"Vision &amp; Values"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>OUR VISION AND VALUES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addressing the Scottish Executive\u2019s National Priorities, the Mission Statement of North Lanarkshire Council and the Charter for Catholic Schools we here in St. Mary\u2019s Primary School formulated our Vision and Values in consultation with all staff, pupils and Parent Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aims of the School: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide a safe, secure and welcoming teaching and learning environment where Gospel values are promoted and a strong Catholic ethos is present.<\/li>\n<li>To strive for high quality teaching and learning.<\/li>\n<li>To offer a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum within Curriculum for\u00a0Excellence which allows inclusion for all our pupils.<\/li>\n<li>To raise standards of attainment and achievement for all pupils and to\u00a0regularly celebrate pupil success.<\/li>\n<li>To create and build an enduring partnership with all our stakeholders \u2013 pupils, parents, community and outside agencies.<\/li>\n<li>To provide staff with quality continual professional development that will\u00a0impact on the quality of teaching and learning.<\/li>\n<li>To allow our children to develop into effective contributors, responsible \u00a0\u00a0citizens, confident individuals and successful learners through curricular\u00a0and extra-curricular experiences that will provide them with skills for learning\u00a0and life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SCHOOL ETHOS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In St. Mary\u2019s Primary School all staff work to ensure every pupil achieves and develops to their fullest potential. We aim to provide your child with a secure and stimulating environment and welcome parents as active partners in their child\u2019s education. In St. Mary\u2019s programmes of study are carefully designed to take into account the age and aptitude of individual pupils. Through all of this our aim for our pupils is that they make steady and consistent progress from primary 1-7. We provide an atmosphere that allows all children to benefit from challenge and enjoyment in their learning, experience success, achieve their full potential in preparation to make a full contribution to society.<\/p>\n<p>St. Mary\u2019s Primary is a denominational school and strong links with the parish are established and strengthened through our programme of liturgical events and attendance at First Friday Mass.
