Children of parents receiving Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (income based) Employment and Support Allowance (income related) are entitled to a meal without charge.<\/p>\n
As of January 2015, all P1-3 pupils are entitled to a free school meal.<\/p>\n
Information and application forms for free school meals may be obtained from schools, first stop shops and Municipal Buildings, Coatbridge.<\/p>\n
Parents are entitled to receive a clothing grant if they are in receipt of any of the following benefits: Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (income based).\u00a0 Employment & Support Allowance (income related), housing benefit, council tax rebate.<\/p>\n
Diets required as a result of medical conditions (a medically prescribed diet e.g. coelic disease, diabetes, food allergy or intolerance) can be provided in school. A medically prescribed diet form<\/u><\/strong> must be completed by the child\u2019s Registered Dietician or General Practitioner. Procedures and forms can be accessed from the child\u2019s school or dietician, or from North Lanarkshire\u2019s catering service.<\/p>\n Occasionally, parents\/carers may be asked to supply prescription foods or attend a meeting to discuss the child\u2019s dietary requirements.<\/p>\n Special diets required for ethical, religious or cultural reasons should be requested in writing to the Head Teacher.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Children of parents receiving Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (income based) Employment and Support Allowance (income related) are entitled to a meal without charge.
