The Junior Road Safety Officer (JRSO) programme in North Lanarkshire allows children to highlight road safety issues within their own school. The programme gives senior pupils the opportunity to become JRSO’s for either a one or two year period.

Their main tasks are to deliver road safety presentations to classes or assemblies and run competitions. The JRSO’s are aimed at senior pupils who can apply for the position through an application form. If successful, they will be invited to attend an induction day where they are issued with their pack and leave equipped to be a JRSO.
