As part of our 80’s topic we have been learning about the importance of Band Aid and how the song ‘Do they know it’s Christmas’\u00a0was created to encourage people to think about people less fortunate than themselves. We looked closely at the lyrics and how the words were chosen to tell the story of the famine in Ethiopia\u00a0at that time. \u00a0In class, the children have been given the challenge to create their own song to encourage world peace, by adapting the lyrics to ‘Do they know it’s Christmas’. I can’t wait to hear the final results next week!<\/p>\n
