This dress code must not lead to direct or indirect discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, gender or disability.<\/p>\n<p>We are very proud of our school uniform and encourage pupils to wear it at all times.\u00a0 Our uniform consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grey trousers\/dress shorts\/skirt or pinafore<\/li>\n<li>Blue shirt<\/li>\n<li>St Kevin&#8217;s school tie<\/li>\n<li>Burgundy school sweatshirt or cardigan<\/li>\n<li>Grey socks<\/li>\n<li>Black shoes<\/li>\n<li>Blue polo shirt and school sweatshirt may be worn on PE days.<\/li>\n<li>Red\/Burgundy gingham summer dress may be worn in hot weather<\/li>\n<li>Burgundy school jackets and fleeces are also available and are optional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>##PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD&#8217;S NAME ON EVERY ITEM OF CLOTHING##<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clothing which is unacceptable in school under any circumstances includes items which:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>could potentially courage factions (e.g. football colours)<\/li>\n<li>could cause offence (e.g. anti-religious symbolism or political slogans)<\/li>\n<li>could cause health and safety difficulties such as loose fitting clothing, dangling earrings, and other potentially dangerous jewellery.<\/li>\n<li>are of flammable materials which may be a danger in certain classes (e.g shell suits)<\/li>\n<li>could cause damage to flooring<\/li>\n<li>carry advertising in particular for alcohol or tobacco, and<\/li>\n<li>could be usd to inflict injury to other pupils or to be used by others to do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All North Lanarkshire schools must have a dress code which encourages pupils to dress in a way which is appropriate to attendance at school.
