{"id":79,"date":"2015-06-19T09:34:17","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T09:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/anntest3\/?page_id=79"},"modified":"2025-10-08T11:02:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T11:02:26","slug":"starting-secondary","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stjo\/starting-secondary\/","title":{"rendered":"Starting Secondary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Primary 7 to Secondary School Transition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Throughout Primary 7, pupils will be supported as they prepare for the exciting move to secondary school.<\/p>\n<p>Staff from Our Lady\u2019s High School will work closely with the P7 teacher and the Senior Leadership Team to plan a smooth and positive transition experience.<\/p>\n<p>All pupils will have the opportunity to visit Our Lady\u2019s High School\u2014typically in June\u2014where they\u2019ll take part in a typical school day, follow a timetable, and explore a variety of curricular subjects.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, teachers from Our Lady\u2019s will visit the primary school to deliver lessons from different subject areas, helping pupils get to know staff and understand how learning works at secondary level.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils attending other secondary schools will also be invited to visit their chosen school at different times, arranged by those schools.<\/p>\n<p>As a special part of the P7 Graduation, pupils will be gifted their secondary school tie to mark this important milestone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Primary 7 to Secondary School Transition Throughout Primary 7, pupils will be supported as they prepare for the exciting move to secondary school.
