Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is our school policy to offer homework from P1 – P7. Guidelines for parents are issued along with an explanatory leaflet prepared by the Parent Council.
\nThe success of homework is related to the quality rather than the quantity of set assignments. The most appropriate homework reflects the diversity and extends the value of the best practice found in the classroom.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Amount of Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is not possible or desirable to set prescribed limits. Much depends on the progress of the class and the individual. Homework is normally issued on Monday – Thursday evenings. Occasionally a teacher may feel it is beneficial to the child to have homework at the weekends. It is left to the teacher to use his\/her professional judgement. The following is simply a rough guide to what on average is expected.<\/p>\n

P1 – P2 10 – 15 minutes<\/p>\n

P3 – P5 20 – 30 minutes<\/p>\n

P6 – P7 30 – 40 minutes<\/p>\n
