Welcome to Primary 2/3
Welcome to our Primary 2/3 blog! The children have continued to settle really well into their new class and have been enjoying getting to know each other, making new friends and building lovely relationships with their classmates. We have been very busy with our learning and have been working hard on our phonemes and common words, as well as practising our reading skills. In Numeracy and Mathematics, we have been learning to recognise numbers, explore number sequences and develop our understanding of place value. We have also been enjoying our literacy work through the wonderful story Giraffes Can’t Dance, which has inspired lots of interesting discussions and activities. As part of our topic work, we have been learning all about Autumn and used our senses to help us create some fantastic Autumn sensory poems. We have also had lots of fun during Big Play and the children have enjoyed exploring, creating, playing together and developing their imagination. It has been a fantastic start to the year and we are so proud of how well the children are settling into Primary 2/3!
