☀️ Primary 2/3 June Learning Blog ☀️
As we come to the end of another fantastic year in Primary 2/3, we can’t believe how quickly the year has gone! It has been wonderful to look back on all the learning, achievements and memories we have made together. We are excited for the next step in our learning journey and look forward to all the new experiences that await us in Primary 3 and Primary 4 next year. A huge well done to every pupil from Mr Rice – I have thoroughly enjoyed being your teacher this year, and thank you for making me smile every day!
📚 Literacy
The class have continued working hard in their phonics and spelling groups, learning new phonemes and common words through activities such as magnetic boards, phoneme flowers and phoneme walks. In reading, pupils have enjoyed taking part in group reading sessions, independent reading and follow-up tasks linked to their books.

➕ Maths and Numeracy
In maths, we have been learning about expressions and equations, with a focus on interpreting and creating pictographs, tally marks and bar charts. We have also continued practising our times tables using fun songs and videos to help us remember key multiplication facts.
🧍 Human Body Topic
This month, our learning has focused on the Human Body. We have explored different parts of the body and learned more about how our bodies help us in our everyday lives. We also enjoyed a mini-topic on the World Cup, learning about some of the countries taking part and where they are located in the world.
💛 Health and Wellbeing
In Health and Wellbeing, we have spent time reflecting on our school year and celebrating our achievements. We also linked our learning to writing by discussing and creating work around how to stay safe in the sun during the summer months.
🏃 Physical Education
In PE, we have continued developing our teamwork skills through a variety of games and activities. We have also enjoyed staying active with Danny Go and Cosmic Yoga sessions, helping us keep fit while having fun.

☀️ Thank you for following our Primary 2/3 learning journey throughout the year. We are very proud of everything we have achieved and wish all of our pupils and families a happy, safe and relaxing summer holiday! ☀️
