Minibeasts

Primary 1/2 have been investigating, researching and hunting for minibeasts this month. Our knowledge was already fantastic, and we have added to it by closely looking at a few of our creepy crawly friends.

Here we are searching up at the shared park space for the minibeasts on our list.  We were buzzing to get out into the sunshine. 🐛🐞🦗🪳🪰🦟

         

We are also working on creating a worm farm so that we can see close up how important worms are for the soil.

Symmetry

We have been learning about symmetry this month too. Sticking with the minibeast theme we have created our own symmetrical ladybirds and butterflies. We have also been playing symmetry games on the smartboard. Here we are making them for our beautiful display. It is really taking shape.
