Thank you to everyone who completed our online Family Learning survey during March. A total of sixty-six questionnaires were completed. We were delighted with the positive feedback we received, and with all the great suggestions made to help develop our Family Learning approaches in the future. We have already started planning to implement some of these suggestions from August 2018, including:
- The introduction of ‘Our Learning Stepps’ journals which will be sent home termly for parents to view and comment on. These journals will contain samples of your child’s work across a number of curricular areas as well as their personal targets for every term.
- Further information/help sheets for parents/carers on key Literacy & Numeracy concepts.
- Monthly ‘Drop In’ Curriculum Surgeries for parents/carers where staff can explain how specific aspects of Literacy & Numeracy are taught.
We will continue to explore some of the other suggestions made, and where feasible, plan their implementation.
