Our safety walk!

Today all the boys and girls went on a walk around Stepps. The children were looking for ways to keep themselves safe while out in the community. They all came up with some excellent ideas from what they had seen, like zebra crossings, traffic lights, road signs and speed limits!

Trip to the park

We had a lovely visit to the park this afternoon. The sun was shining and the children were enjoying playing on the climbing frame and building impressive sandcastles. Just before we left the rain came on! Typical! But we all had lots of fun anyway!

Busy busy!

Since returning after Easter we have been busy learning lots of new things in the nursery. We are looking at patterns in the world around us and making our own, learning about the word ‘unique’ and that everybody has similarities and differences. We are also focusing on our ‘Under the Sea’ topic and exploring the types of animals that live there. The children have enjoyed using the computer to create their own under water scenes and use clay to make shell prints. We recently got a new water track which the children have loved playing with! We are sure this will be a very exciting term!

Red Nose Day

On Friday the 24th of March we raised money for Comic Relief by wearing Red to Nursery and showing off our Red Noses! We had hot dogs and popcorn for snack and learned all about where the money we donated goes. It was a great day and we raised lots of money for a good cause!

Cress Growing!

We are learning about plants through our science topic this term. We have been discussing the different parts of a plant and today we planted our own cress seeds. We know that plants need sun light and water to grow so we have sat our plant pots by the window where we can watch them grow over the next few days.
