Stepps Nursery

The children have been having such fun outdoors whilst learning how to be safe. We all know in order to be safe on the bikes we all must wear a helmet and be aware of the space around us. All the boys and girls have shown great examples of this.

The little chefs and their big chef helpers have been tasting lots of different foods as they prepare yummy pizza, couscous, monster mouths and much more! The workshops have been really popular and after Easter Mrs Young will be offering all the children and their parent/ careers the opportunity to take part in more Big Chef Little Chef sessions.

Look at all the fun we had in the snow last week!!!

All the boys and girls had so much fun at our Christmas party. We had some very special visitors including Mr Muddles the magician, Chase from Paw Patrol and most importantly Santa!!!!

Thanks to the parents that have been kindly coming in to make Christmas decorations with the children. They all loved this activity and are looking forward to making many more!

Everyone had a lot of fun on the nursery sponsored walk on Tuesday. The children all did really well walking round Hogganfield Loch and kept the adults going with their chat and laughs! It was very cold and everyone had to wrap up well with hats, scarves and gloves. After a play in the park the children were ready for a snack and some juice. There were a few tired legs on the bus going back to nursery! The money is still coming in but the total so far is well over £600!

During many discussions the children were able to talk and describe what weather they liked best and why. We have also enjoyed being out and about experiencing the weather each day. The children suggested we get the parachute out as it has been a very windy day today.

The boys and girls enjoyed a fun filled day on Tuesday at our party. They made brilliant Halloween pictures, decorated biscuits, enjoyed a yummy party snack and even won some prizes playing musical bumps. It was great to see everyone dressed up, you all looked amazing!

This morning the boys and girls enjoyed playing outside on the pitch. Although it was cold we still had lots of fun running around, playing football and different games with the hoops and cones.

All the children were very excited to show their mummy’s and daddy’s around the nursery. Everyone had a great time! Thank you to all parents/carers for coming along!
