The following advice may be useful for parents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">\u00a0In St. Edward\u2019s we are very aware of the distress caused not only to children involved in bullying incidents, but also to parents who often feel anxious, angry or confused about the situation. We are aware too that the children who bully are often in need of help and support themselves. We make every effort to prevent bullying from taking place in our school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Through programmes such as Circle Time and P.A.T.H.S we aim to:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">build confidence and self esteem<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">develop tolerance and respect for others<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">have regard for their own needs and the needs of others<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">develop life skills which will enable them to participate effectively and safely in society<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">to express their fears and concerns appropriately<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">to take positive action to deal with difficult life situations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In St Edward&#8217;s we continue to use JIGSAW PHSE Programme.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stedwards\/files\/2023\/02\/download.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1355\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stedwards\/files\/2023\/02\/download.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"189\" height=\"121\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why Jigsaw PSHE?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>Designed as a\u00a0<strong>whole-school approach<\/strong>, Jigsaw establishes consistency that gives all\u00a0<strong>teachers confidence\u00a0<\/strong>to deliver<strong>\u00a0high-quality lessons<\/strong>.
