Kilbowie Update!

One group went over to the Island of Kerrera on a speed boat. They explored the Island and found many interesting things such as a castle ruin and a parrot sanctuary. Other groups went on a Safari finding out about the local wildlife, some were skiing and orienteering around the grounds. This evening we had fun doing the night line and we couldn`t see where we were going!

Kilbowie Day 2

A day full of super activities, with all children having lots of fun. Activities today included gorge walking, skiing, canoeing and abseiling.

The children in their canoes sailed on the Atlantic Ocean, over to the island of Kerrara. Some of the groups scaled some of the local hills and abseiled back down to safety. A personal achievement for everyone.

Our children enjoyed more great fun, jumping into the freezing cold water again.

This evening, the children went on ‘Scavenger Hunt’ to find items for every letter of the alphabet. The children are proving to be a credit to their parents and our school.

Kilbowie 2014

We have arrived safe and well, everyone is exhausted and ready for bed. It has been a glorious day, hopefully this will continue for the rest of the week.

Already we have been jumping into freezing cold water and learning how to  canoe in the waters beside Kilbowie. We were also exploring the beach and had lots of fun.

Primary 3 have been learning all about the weather. They have been outside looking at the different types of clouds and doing experiments. They have been writing about what they did and see. Do you know the names of clouds?  Stratus, Cumulonimbus, Cirrus and Cumulus. Primary 3 even know what they look like.

Primary 2/3 News

We are finding out about people who help us in our community. We have already interviewed our Headteacher and Janitor. We watched short clips on the internet using Espresso. We took notes and then wrote sentences.
