The Green Peas Reporting!

In our school Primary 5,6 and 7 have created an Eco club with Mrs Murphy, Miss McKenzie and Mrs McBirnie.  We have been researching the Amazon Rainforest and we are trying to reduce food waste and water waste, but we are also trying to encourage people to recycle and save energy.  We are going to design and create posters to put up around our school to support what we are trying to do to save the Rainforest and the animals who are effected if the Rainforest is destroyed.  We need the Rainforest because the plants and trees generate a lot of the Earth’s oxygen and more than two thirds of the world’s plant species live in the Rainforest.  The plants of the Rainforest are used in medicines that fight many diseases and illnesses like cancer, leukemia and heart disease.  We will be appointing class monitors to monitor their class’s waste and what their class save.
