Primary 2 have enjoyed a busy first term and the time is flying by!<\/span><\/p>\n

The children have all settled in well to primary two and have produced some interesting pieces of work. They are all particularly interested in our \u2018under the sea\u2019 topic and have learned a lot about sea creatures and their ocean habitats. Our aquarium role play area has proved to be a big success – the children love taking turns at being \u2018staff\u2019 and \u2018customers\u2019 as you will see from our photographs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The class have been hard at work across all curricular areas – in numeracy this term some of the areas we have covered are place value, rounding numbers and addition and subtraction within 20. In literacy the children have been doing lots of reading work – they have been learning that reading helps your brain work better and therefore helps you become better at lots of other things, such as writing and problem solving.<\/span><\/p>\n
