Primary 2/1 and the Infant Department wish you all a warm welcome to our new school blog. We hope you will enjoy reading all about what we have been up to in class and in the wider school!

Since coming back to school in January, Primary 2/1 and Miss Burns have been enjoying learning all about our latest topic, Water. We have had a great time pouring, splashing and playing with water. We thought of lots of different words to describe it. We have also been investigating how temperature changes water. We learned that freezing temperatures turn water to ice and made our own ice cubes. We also learned that when water is made hot enough it will boil and, eventually, turn to steam. We looked at some of the everyday uses for boiling water, even making a cup of tea and boiling an egg with Primary 2/3!

In Maths, we have been learning about estimation and rounding.  We have been showing what we know through lots of interactive games and activities. As you can see in the pictures, we have really enjoyed it!
