We have had a great start to our last term with a very interesting visit to the Burrell Collection at Pollock Park.<\/p>\n

Amazed at this wooden tapestry. Grant explained how the sheep’s wool would be dyed before using it.<\/p><\/div>\n

Exploring the beautiful Burrell Collection.<\/p><\/div>\n

Using wood to create our own building.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Making<\/a>

Making our own stained glass windows.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Designing<\/a>

Designing and making clay pots.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Making<\/a>

Making our own yarn for weaving.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Exploring<\/a>

Exploring soap stone.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Amazed<\/a>

Amazed at the huge Roman wine cup made of marble.<\/p><\/div>\n

This trip linked in with all of the work we did last term in science when we explored “materials”. \u00a0We were able to share our knowledge with our guide Grant and tell him everything we knew about different materials- he was very impressed!<\/p>\n

We have brought our clay pots back to school and when they are dry we will paint them and bring them home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
