We were introduced to our new novels that we&#8217;ll be studying in class. As well as learning our Reading Strategies, we&#8217;ve been working hard on handwriting and presentation. Here are some examples of our fabulous work&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In maths, we&#8217;re continuing with our mental strategies for addition and subtraction. We&#8217;ve been using number lines, hundred squares and lots of ICT games to help us. We&#8217;ve been playing partner games too&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have also been introduced to our new topic this week. We&#8217;re going to learn all about the Victorians. How exciting! We took part in a carousel lesson to decide what we already knew, what we wanted to find out and how we wanted to learn it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mrs McLean and Miss Dunbar are now busy planning our topic based on what we told them. Here&#8217;s some things that we want to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When did they live?<\/li>\n<li>What was school like?<\/li>\n<li>Why did they not have flushing toilets? (seems we have a fascination with toilets in P4!)<\/li>\n<li>What were their toys and games like?<\/li>\n<li>What did they do for fun?<\/li>\n<li>What did they eat?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how we want to learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make models<\/li>\n<li>Make Victorian food<\/li>\n<li>Play Victorian games<\/li>\n<li>Visit a museum<\/li>\n<li>Study and make our own Victorian art<\/li>\n<li>Look on the internet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Well P4, your wish is our command!
