Here is today\u2019s plan, as always you will find all of the resources you need on Glow and on the Dojo class story.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Comprehension \u2013 The Ascension<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Literacy folder on Glow and click on Comprehension.<\/li>\n<li>Open the document called Ascension Comprehension.<\/li>\n<li>Today\u2019s passage is about the Ascension of Jesus.<\/li>\n<li>Read the passage carefully and answer the questions in full sentences.<\/li>\n<li>Today is the feast of the Ascension. If we were at school we would be going to mass together so you could try to watch a video of the mass online from your local Parish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Writing<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your task today is to write a newspaper report about the Ascension of Jesus.<\/li>\n<li>Open the writing folder on Glow and you will find two templates to choose from. If you are printing you can write straight onto the sheet. If not the templates will remind you of the layout of a newspaper report.<\/li>\n<li>First of all you will need a catchy title to draw attention to your report.<\/li>\n<li>Next you need to tell the story of what happened that day.<\/li>\n<li>You could include some eye witness statements from people who were there.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a newspaper at home have a look at some examples of newspaper reports to give you ideas, you will find examples online too.<\/li>\n<li>I will be choosing Star Writers today so remember to send me your work when you are finished!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Maths<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Mental Maths<\/u> \u2013 Thursday\u2019s questions are in the folder on Glow.<\/p>\n<p><u>Sumdog<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Sumdog competition is running until the 21<sup>st<\/sup> May so remember to join in.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Espresso \u2013 Geometry &#8211; Position and Direction<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Login to Espresso, click Second Level and then click on Geometry &#8211; Position and Direction Lower, it is in the middle of the page.<\/li>\n<li>Watch the video called translating points.<\/li>\n<li>In Activities try the translating points task.<\/li>\n<li>In the printable resources open the translating points worksheet. You can print it off or write your answers on a sheet of paper. There is also a copy of the worksheet in the maths folder on Glow and on the class story on Dojo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Art<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This week we are looking at Pop Art with a Scottish theme.<\/li>\n<li>In the art folder on Glow here is a powerpoint called Scottish Words Pop Art. This gives you a step by step guide of how to create Scottish words using paint and different coloured paper.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t have paint and coloured paper you could just draw and colour your own design using the pictures on the slides as a guide.<\/li>\n<li>You could also use a drawing tool on your computer to make one instead of doing it on paper if you prefer.<\/li>\n<li>You might need to research some good Scottish words to use for your art work before you start, there are lots to choose from!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>P.E.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Make sure you are getting some exercise each day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Mrs MacLean and Miss Kiernan\u2019s Glow Folders<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Remember to have a look in Mrs MacLean and Miss Kiernan\u2019s folders for some more fun tasks to do.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a great day and remember this weekend is a holiday so I will see you back online next week.
