{"id":11310,"date":"2020-05-01T08:08:09","date_gmt":"2020-05-01T08:08:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbartholomewsclasses\/?p=11310"},"modified":"2020-05-01T08:08:09","modified_gmt":"2020-05-01T08:08:09","slug":"p5-daily-plan-friday-1st-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbartholomewsclasses\/2020\/05\/01\/p5-daily-plan-friday-1st-may\/","title":{"rendered":"P5 Daily Plan &#8211; Friday 1st May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning everyone, I hope you are looking forward to another busy Friday!<\/p>\n<p><u>Handwriting<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Literacy folder on Glow and click on Handwriting.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u2018No Place Like Home\u2019 Poem.<\/li>\n<li>Copy the poem in your neatest writing.<\/li>\n<li>Remember you should be writing in a joined style and take care with letter formation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Comprehension<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Literacy folder on Glow and click on Comprehension.<\/li>\n<li>Open the document called Steven Brown Comprehension,<\/li>\n<li>Read the passage about Steven Brown, the Scottish artist we looked at yesterday.<\/li>\n<li>Answer the questions in full sentences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Spelling<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open your group spelling folder on Glow.<\/li>\n<li>Choose one of the activities you haven\u2019t done yet to practice your words.<\/li>\n<li>Ask someone to give you a spelling test, they could give you some dictated sentences to write underneath like we do in class!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Maths<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Espresso \u2013 3D Shape Nets<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Login to Espresso, click Second Level, then Upper 3D Shape.<\/li>\n<li>Watch the video called Building 3D Shapes.<\/li>\n<li>In Activities try the Naming Nets activity and the Net or Not activity.<\/li>\n<li>Click on Printable Resources and you will see lots of different nets of shapes. Your task today is to build some nets of 3D shapes.<\/li>\n<li>If you are able to print you can choose some to print out. If not you will need to draw the net first using a ruler and then make it into a 3D shape.<\/li>\n<li>The nets are also in the Shape folder on Glow for you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Mental Maths<\/u> \u2013 Friday\u2019s questions are in the folder on Glow.<\/p>\n<p><u>Sumdog<\/u> \u2013 Try today\u2019s times tables challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>ICT<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Open a drawing game on your computer. You might already have Splosh or Paint installed. There is also a free one called Kidmons at the address: <a href=\"https:\/\/kidmons.com\/game\/paint-online\/\">https:\/\/kidmons.com\/game\/paint-online\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you have found a suitable drawing tool your task is to choose an animal and draw it in the style of Steven Brown. You did a Highland Cow yesterday so today choose another animal and use the same colour techniques to create a similar picture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>P.E.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Make sure you get some exercise today. Some ideas are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>E. with Joe<\/li>\n<li>Try a celebrity class on YouTube<\/li>\n<li>Practice a sport in your garden<\/li>\n<li>Make your own obstacle course for your family to try<\/li>\n<li>Cosmis Kids Yoga<\/li>\n<li>Jump Start Johnny<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Fun Friday<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Once you have finished all of your tasks choose something fun to do as a Fun Friday task. You might play an interactive game, do some more exercise or complete a craft activity.
