You all worked so hard and tried your very best.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">774 classes took part and our class finished in <strong>116th place<\/strong>!\ud83c\udfc6<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Amazing effort boys and girls! I am so proud of you all!\ud83d\udc4f<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbarbaras\/files\/2020\/11\/sumdog.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7514\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbarbaras\/files\/2020\/11\/sumdog.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"161\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I would also like to say a special <strong>congratulations <\/strong>to <strong>Adam\u00a0<\/strong>who was our <strong>class champion<\/strong>!\ud83d\udc4f\u2b50<\/p>\n<p>This week your child has been set tasks for <strong>Monday<\/strong>, <strong>Tuesday<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Wednesday<\/strong>\u00a0night.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>To keep us all safe, we have decided that all completed work should be kept at home (until further notice). Please remember to send back the\u00a0<strong>clear zippy wallet empty<\/strong> on <strong>Tuesday<\/strong> and return your <strong>reading book<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Thursday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Could you please encourage your child to pr<\/strong><strong>actise their reading book each night.\u00a0\ud83d\udcd6<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Literacy<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Letter sound- b \ud83e\udd87<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Practise saying the\u00a0<strong>\u2018b\u2019<\/strong> sound. Listen to the \u2018<strong>b<\/strong><strong>\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0Jolly Phonics song. Sing the song whilst doing the action.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtu.be\/jvAYUvQUrGo<\/p>\n<p>Go on a sound hunt around your house looking for objects that begin with the sound\u00a0<strong>\u2018b\u2019.<\/strong>\u00a0Can you think of any other words that begin with\u00a0<strong>\u2018b\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Complete letter\u00a0<strong>\u2018b\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0formation worksheet.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Maths<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Addition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have learned all of the addition facts for\u00a0<strong> 2, 3, 4 and 5.<\/strong> Children are encouraged to memorise these facts for rapid random recall.<\/p>\n<p>Use practical materials at home to show all the\u00a0 different ways to make\u00a0<strong>2, 3, 4 and 5.<\/strong> You could use pegs, toy cars, playdough or playing cards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remember Jack Hartmann is always there to help if you get stuck. Tell an adult your sentences and see if they can spot which common word you have used in each sentence.<\/li>\n<li>Choose a task of your choice from the menu below, to help you practise this week\u2019s common words.
