Some of these promises are that Jesus will give devotees comfort, peace, holiness, and \u201call the graces necessary for their state in life.\u201d In addition, Jesus\u00a0 promised that He would \u201cbless every place where an image of his heart is exposed and honoured&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"nofocus aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.holyfamilybordeaux.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Sacred-heart.jpg\" alt=\"See the source image\" width=\"138\" height=\"244\" aria-label=\"See the source image\" data-bm=\"5\" \/>The Sacred Heart of Jesus is shown as a bright red human heart with flames and a halo of light. The heart is pierced and bleeding, referring to the manner of Jesus\u2019 death on the cross. \u00a0The heart is surrounded by a crown of thorns, symbolizing his passion. Above the heart is a cross, representing us being saved from sin. The heart is aflame, signifying purification.
