Calculate the answers to these questions in your jotter.<\/p>\n<p>a) Hayden plays 6 Xbox games. He scores 3.2 points in each game. How many points does he score altogether?<\/p>\n<p>b) Olivia runs 5.4 miles every day. If she runs for 8 days, how far does she run?<\/p>\n<p>c) Riley does a sponsored silence. For every hour, he must be silent he raises \u00a38.50. How much will he raise if he stays silent for 9 hours?<\/p>\n<p>d) Miss Huntley walks 3.6 miles to school. How many miles does she walk over 5 days?<\/p>\n<p>e) Miss Huntley decides to walk home as well, so she walks 7.2 miles a day. How many miles does she walk over 15 days?<\/p>\n<p>f) Caitlyn draws a square. Each side is 15.8cm. What is the perimeter of the square?<\/p>\n<p>g) Brandon\u2019s car drives 6.3 miles on one litre of petrol. How many miles will he cover on 4 litres of petrol?<\/p>\n<p>h) Reece\u2019s hair grows 0.8 cm per month. How many cm will his hair grow in 9 months?<\/p>\n<p>i) Alexander measures rainfall over 7 months. The rain fall is 0.6 cm each month. How much rain has fallen over the 7 months?<\/p>\n<p>j) Elvin buys a new pair of shoes with four shoe laces. Each shoe lace is 32.3cm long. How long are all four shoe laces put together?<\/p>\n<p>Remember, decimals make no difference to how you add, subtract, multiply or divide you only have to remember to keep the decimal points above one another, in a straight line.<\/p>\n<p>This is\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">not<\/span>\u00a0how we would write out sums to find the answer so don\u2019t write them this way in your jotter. Copy them into your jotter and begin to practise them ahead of a\u00a0 spelling test on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>jacket,\u00a0 packet,\u00a0 racket,\u00a0 live,\u00a0 carve,\u00a0 blue,\u00a0 due,\u00a0 process,\u00a0 resources,\u00a0 soldier,\u00a0 sparrow,\u00a0 yellow,\u00a0 elbow,\u00a0 necessary,\u00a0\u00a0separate,\u00a0\u00a0chocolate,\u00a0\u00a0lightning<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve assigned you some reading in Scholastic Books.<\/p>\n<p>Here are three new comprehension exercises for today. &#8211; He would pray.\u00a0 Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, before he was betrayed by Judas.\u00a0 He prayed before he raised Lazarus from the dead and Jesus prayed during the Last Supper, before he broke the bread.\u00a0 Like us Jesus needed to share his worries and problems with his heavenly Father; he knew that he was never alone.\u00a0 Just as we are never alone.\u00a0 God is always with us.<\/p>\n<p>When we pray we are having a conversation with God.\u00a0 When we talk to God, he listens.\u00a0 We don&#8217;t have to have special times for saying prayers.\u00a0 Often we say them at bedtime but we can talk to God at any time.\u00a0 Do you ever feel unsure about what to say to God?\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry as God our Father likes to hear about everything we have to tell him and he is always ready to listen.<\/p>\n<p>The apostles knew how important it was to pray to God but like us they often felt uncertain about how to pray.\u00a0 One day they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.\u00a0 What was the prayer that Jesus taught them?
