{"id":3867,"date":"2020-05-06T08:30:43","date_gmt":"2020-05-06T07:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbarbaras\/?p=3867"},"modified":"2020-05-05T23:34:44","modified_gmt":"2020-05-05T22:34:44","slug":"p4-3-wednesday-6th-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbarbaras\/2020\/05\/06\/p4-3-wednesday-6th-may\/","title":{"rendered":"P4\/3 Wednesday 6th May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello everyone, thank you to those of you who sent me work yesterday.\u00a0 I have a little issue just now with my inbox and can therefore not reply.\u00a0 I am working on this today!\u00a0 But rest assured, I have seen all\u00a0 your work and I am very proud of you for working hard and completing the tasks.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">RE<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Morning prayer and a Hail Mary.\u00a0 The month of May is a special time to pray to Our Lady.\u00a0 After Easter, when we say a Rosary, we would say the Glorious Mysteries.\u00a0 The first Glorious Mystery is the Resurrection of Jesus.\u00a0 Try to say a Hail Mary and thank God for the Resurrection.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Literacy<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Revise your common words or phoneme words.\u00a0 Ask an adult to dictate a sentence to include these words.\u00a0 Remember to include capital letters and full stops.<\/p>\n<p>Today I would like to focus on Instructional Writing.\u00a0 Look at the powerpoint below to revise how to do this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/stbarbaras\/files\/2020\/05\/Instructional-Writing-ppt.ppt\">Instructional Writing ppt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You may choose to write instructions on how to make your favourite sandwich or how to bake your favourite type of cake.\u00a0 Remember to ask yourself, could someone easily follow these instructions?\u00a0 If we were in class right now, I would say &#8220;If an alien came to Earth from another planet, would they be able to follow these instructions and successfully make the sandwich or bake the cake?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I have attached a template for you if you wish but please don&#8217;t feel the need for it if you can&#8217;t print it out.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a guideline to the layout.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/public\/stbarbaras\/uploads\/sites\/26624\/2020\/05\/05230554\/Writing-Instructions-template.pdf\">Writing Instructions template<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You must include the &#8220;Things\u00a0 you need&#8221; for example, the ingredients and the utensils such as bowl, wooden spoon, knife etc.<\/p>\n<p>Each instruction should begin with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First<\/li>\n<li>Then<\/li>\n<li>Next<\/li>\n<li>Finally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you need more than four steps, can you think of different words to add?
