{"id":3405,"date":"2016-05-17T19:23:40","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T19:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/staugustines\/?p=3405"},"modified":"2016-05-17T19:24:08","modified_gmt":"2016-05-17T19:24:08","slug":"3405","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/staugustines\/2016\/05\/17\/3405\/","title":{"rendered":"Science in Pr.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our\u00a0 Primary 1 Scientists have been busy at work<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Let&#8217;s Investigate &#8211; Squeaky Clean<\/li>\n<li>We are learning what is the best liquid for cleaning.<\/li>\n<li>Success Criteria<\/li>\n<li>I can talk about liquids that clean (detergents)<\/li>\n<li>I can give my own experiences of a cleaning liquid such as: washing up liquid, shampoo or bubble bath.<\/li>\n<li>I can help to plan for the investigation, changing only one variable.<\/li>\n<li>I can make my guess.<\/li>\n<li>I can observe and record the changes.<\/li>\n<li>I can talk about the result and make my conclusions.<\/li>\n<li>We needed 3 bottles, water and 3 detergents<\/li>\n<li>We put the same amount of water into 3 bottles of the same size.<\/li>\n<li>We put the same amount of liquid into the three bottles but we changed the type of liquid.<\/li>\n<li>We used &#8211; washing up liquid, Shampoo and Bubble Bath<\/li>\n<li>We made our prediction.<\/li>\n<li>We shook the bottles to make bubbles.<\/li>\n<li>We observed and measured the height of the bubbles.<\/li>\n<li>We recorded the results and made our conclusions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We noted that the washing up liquid produced the most bubbles and was the strongest detergent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our\u00a0 Primary 1 Scientists have been busy at work Let&#8217;s Investigate &#8211; Squeaky Clean We are learning what is the best liquid for cleaning.
