St. Augustine\u2019s Parent Council\/PTA meet at 6.15pm on the last Wednesday of every month in St. Augustine\u2019s Church Hall.<\/p>\n

Procedures for election: In compliance with the Parent Council Constitution.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Parent Council\u2019s rights and duties include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. supporting the work of the school.<\/li>\n
  2. representing the view of parents.<\/li>\n
  3. consulting with parents and reporting back to the Parent Forum on matters of interest.<\/li>\n
  4. promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the wider community.<\/li>\n
  5. fundraising.<\/li>\n
  6. taking part in the selection of Senior promoted staff.<\/li>\n
  7. receiving reports from the head teacher and education authority and<\/li>\n
  8. receiving an annual budget for administration, training and other expenses.<\/li>\n
  9. Improving home school partnership and facilitating parental involvement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/u><\/strong>Parent – Teachers Association (subgroup of the Parent Council)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    The school has an active and very successful P.T.A. Various fund raising and social events are organised throughout the school year. Throughout the years Digital Robots, Golden Time toys, outdoor play equipment, Visiting Specialists (STEM & HWB) and various track-suits, football strips etc. have all been purchased as a result of the fundraising events and hard work of the PTA. New members are always made most welcome. The P.T. A. normally meet on the last Wednesday of each month (following the Parent Council meeting) at 7.15 pm in St. Augustine\u2019s Church Hall.\u00a0 Further information can be found on their Facebook page.<\/p>\n
