Our S1 pupils took part in our first ever Race for the Line school race day on Thursday, 15th March. All S1 pupils had been working in teams to enhance their communication and problem solving skills to engineer an aerodynamically shaped car with the chance to race their final design against all other S1 teams. There were 53 races in total – each with its own mini (controlled) rocket explosion for propulsion.
Our top 4 teams from our school race day will be competing at the regional race day on the 26th April at City of Glasgow College.
The winning team with an impressive speed of 55.65 mph was ‘Team 10’ from Class 1.6.
