THE BASICS<\/p>\n
A<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 –\u00a0ATTEND SCHOOL<\/strong> The classroom is where you learn<\/p>\n Make sure you bring at least one pen or pencil to school<\/p>\n Carry your books & jotters in a suitably sized bag<\/p>\n Complete your classwork and homework to the best of your ability<\/p>\n Do not leave your bag lying in a corridor, in the bushes or in a class without a teacher\u2019s permission<\/p>\n Permission slips for dental appointments etc must be arranged in advance with the Receptionist<\/p>\n <\/p>\n M<\/span>UST WEAR UNIFORM<\/strong><\/p>\n White shirt with school tie<\/p>\n Black trousers\/skirt, black shoes<\/p>\n Blazer with badge<\/p>\n <\/p>\n B<\/span>E ON TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n For the start of school at 8.55am<\/p>\n Arrive promptly at EVERY class<\/p>\n Do not delay arriving at class by going to the toilet or ask to leave a classroom after breaks or just before the end of a lesson<\/p>\n If you are allowed to visit the toilet, make sure you are given a permission card<\/p>\n <\/p>\n R<\/span>ESPECT ALL<\/strong><\/p>\n Place litter in the bins that are provided & think about recycling<\/p>\n Behave properly & safely at all times<\/p>\n Do not carry food or soft drinks in the corridors or take to class<\/p>\n Exit classrooms in an orderly fashion<\/p>\n Keep to the left in corridors & follow the one-way system<\/p>\n Take your time on the stairs<\/p>\n Keep quiet near examination rooms<\/p>\n Do not loiter in the lane at the train station or behind the gyms or Games Hall<\/p>\n Use appropriate language when you speak to your friends<\/p>\n Be aware of your responsibility towards ALL pupils & staff in the school and our neighbours in the community as you walk to and from school and at lunchtime<\/p>\n <\/p>\n O<\/span>RGANISE YOURSELF<\/strong><\/p>\n Pack your bag & its contents the night before school\u2014remember your PE kit<\/p>\n Know your timetable<\/p>\n Use your Homework Diary to record what you have to do<\/p>\n Carry & use your own NEC card & coins to add to your lunch account\u2014take a note of your number should you forget your card<\/p>\n Carry your bus\/train pass to show your entitlement to travel\u2014if you forget or lose it, contact the front office as early in the day as possible to arrange a replacement<\/p>\n <\/p>\n S<\/span>TAY FOCUSSED<\/strong><\/p>\n Do not bring mobile phones or MP3 players to school<\/p>\n If you do, and it happens more than once, it will not be returned at the end of the school day<\/p>\n Remain within the school grounds at interval<\/p>\n Stay in the school or local area for lunch & do not travel to other areas by train at lunchtime<\/p>\n Set targets for your progress<\/p>\n <\/p>\n E<\/span>NJOY SCHOOL<\/strong><\/p>\n Get involved, take part & show responsibility\u2013 listen to the daily bulletin announcements about events<\/p>\n Take part in a club or sport or visit the library<\/p>\n Take pride in your classwork<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" THE BASICS A\u00a0 –\u00a0ATTEND SCHOOL M – MUST WEAR UNIFORM B\u00a0 – BE ON TIME R\u00a0 – RESPECT ALL O\u00a0 – ORGANISE YOURSELF S\u00a0 – STAY FOCUSSED E\u00a0 – ENJOY SCHOOL ATTEND SCHOOL The classroom is where you learn Make … Continue reading
