BGE FRENCH    

At Aidan’s High School we ensure that the learning pathway is clear for our pupils. Pupils study French in Primary and continue to study the subject from S1 – S3 as part of their entitlement in the Broad General Education (BGE). They have the option of continuing with this language to gain a National Qualification in S4 and beyond.

Additionally in S3 we offer all pupils the opportunity to complete the Modern Languages Life and Work Award, an additional award offered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority which has a strong Employability bias and which is recognised by employers.  Details can be viewed here.  Pupils completing S3 in French have the choice to continue to study this in S4 at National 4 or National 5
