{"id":9,"date":"2015-05-05T09:22:32","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T09:22:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/anntest3\/?page_id=9"},"modified":"2016-06-09T15:28:49","modified_gmt":"2016-06-09T15:28:49","slug":"aims","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/sikeside\/aims\/","title":{"rendered":"Vision &amp; Values"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Welcome to our school.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> At Sikeside Primary School and Nursery class we aim to give our children a broad general education within a nurturing environment so that every child has the capacity to reach their full potential.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> Our caring and enthusiastic staff support every aspect of our children&#8217;s development, from settling into nursery until their transition to Primary and then to High School .<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> We offer a wide range of activities within the school for our children to participate in, including making sure they have a voice which is listened to within our school.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">This is done in a variety of ways e.g. pupil councils and committees.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> Staff and pupils are passionate and proud of our school and get involved with the wider community, through enterprise schemes e.g. St Andrew&#8217;s Hospice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Aims of Sikeside Primary School<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> We aim to create an ambitious, excellent school by focusing on continuous improvement through self evaluation and the development of Leadership at all levels. High quality learning and teaching is the focus of all producing the highest possible standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">We will achieve this by:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> *Creating an ethos of equality and fairness, making sure that we embrace the spirit of inclusion, which will encompass all of our children.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> *Working with all stakeholders taking account of and valuing their opinions and ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to our school.
