{"id":155,"date":"2015-06-19T09:45:21","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T09:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/anntest3\/?page_id=155"},"modified":"2025-02-12T15:52:54","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T15:52:54","slug":"parent-council","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/shawheadps\/parent-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Parent Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Parent Councils came into force on 1 August 2007.<\/p>\n<p>(1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Parent Council\u2019s rights and duties include:<\/p>\n<p>(a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 supporting the work of the school;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>representing the views of parents;<\/li>\n<li>consulting with parents and reporting back to the Parent Forum on matters of interest:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(d)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the wider community;<\/p>\n<p>(e) \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 fundraising;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>taking part in the selection of senior promoted staff;<\/li>\n<li>receiving reports from the head teacher and education authority;
