Enrolment times for Shawhead Primary School:

Monday 15th January 2018             1.30pm to 3.00pm

Tuesday 16th  January 2018             1.30pm to 3.00pm

Wednesday 17th  January 2018            1.30pm to 3.00pm

Thursday 18th January 2018             1.30pm to 3.00pm

Children who will be 5 years old between 1st March 2018 and 28th February 2019 should be registered during the week commencing Monday 15 January to Friday 19 January 2018.

Friday 19th  January 2018                1.30pm to 3.00pm

 

Please bring along your child’s birth certificate and a recent council tax bill as proof of address.

December Reminders!

 

Christmas Lunch – Friday 8th December 2017

Please remember that it is Christmas Lunch only on Friday 8/12/17.  If your child has not chosen to have a Christmas lunch then they must bring a packed lunch.  There will be no other food options on this day.

 

Christmas Jumper Day- Friday 8th December 2017

Children can wear a Christmas jumper as part of the dress down day on Friday 8/12/17 and pay £1 for school funds.

 

St. Bernard’s Nativity Dress Rehearsal- Monday 11th December 2017

On Monday 11th December the children and staff have been invited by St. Bernard’s Primary school to watch their dress rehearsal performance of their nativity.  We will attending St. Bernard’s Primary at 1.30pm.

 

Choir outings- City Chambers, Tesco and Summerlee House.

Miss Mill and our fabulous choir will be performing at the City Chambers in Glasgow on Tuesday 12th December as part of the Christmas Celebrations.  Details have been issued and we are sure that the choir and Miss Mill will make us very proud.  There are still are number of tickets remaining to be purchased and places on the coach- no charge for this, for those parents/carer and other children who which to come and watch. The bus leaves from school at 4.30pm and returns to Shawhead Community Centre approximately 9.30pm.  The choir will also be entertaining the residents at Summerlee House on Thursday 14th December and singing at Coatbridge Tesco on Tuesday 19th December.   Please ensure that all consent forms are returned for those children who are in the choir by Monday 11th December.

 

Nativity – ‘Busy Busy Bethlehem- Wednesday 13th December 2017

The performance of ‘Busy Busy Bethlehem’ will take place on Wednesday 13th December at 1.30pm. All parents and family members are welcome to attend. P1-4 children will be performing in the nativity and P5-7 children will be entertaining us with a selection of Christmas Songs.

Tickets are on sale at £2 per adult and children are free.  These can be purchased from the school office or you can pay on the door.  Tickets for our Grand Christmas raffle will be on sale at this time.

Welcome to our new P1 Pupils starting in August 2018

We look forward to welcoming our new P1 Pupils who are starting with us in August 2018.

We are holding an Open Morning for our new pupils and this is a chance to come and look around the school and meet the staff and other pupils.  We are opening our doors on Wednesday 6th December at 11am.  We look forward to seeing you there.
