Big Chef, Little Chef family cooking programme was delivered in the centre by Jen Dawson, CLD Homelink Worker and was funded by the Family Learning Centre.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The programme ran for three weeks from Friday 1st<\/sup><\/span> – 18<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> May.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 10 families participated over the 3 sessions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Much fun was had as families learned new recipes, tried new foods and developed new skills throughout the programme. Our little chef\u2019s loved squeezing their own orange juice and using a spiralizer to make courgette spaghetti hair!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Over the 3 weeks we made:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Healthy cheese & salad wrap \/ Fresh fruit salad<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Vegetable kebabs \/ Apple crumble<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mini Happy Face Pizzas \/ Fruit kebabs<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI loved spending time with my son , doing new things and him trying new foods that he has never have put in his mouth before.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI enjoy spending fun time with my son, watching him learn new skills.\u00a0He doesn\u2019t usually want to try new foods but he did today.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI enjoyed going things with my daughter one-to-one. She listened was careful and we talked whilst preparing the food.\u00a0She enjoyed every minute of the class, chopping and trying every piece of food.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cReally enjoy coming to the classes, getting to meet and talk with other parents and spending time with my son.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cCreating faces for pizza. He had lots of fun doing this. So nice to see him smile and laugh while following instructions.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI have enjoyed everything- how well my child has developed in her confidence. Well Done!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
