What happened?
Dorothy is really upset that the Wizard has left in the balloon without her, so the friends set off on a journey to Glinda’s castle to ask for her help in getting Dorothy back to Kansas.
Have a think ..
Take a moment to think about these questions:
Why did the four friends feel sad that Oz had left even though he had tricked them?
Why do you think Dorothy still wanted to go home to Kansas rather than live in the Emerald City with her friends?
Is it fair that Dorothy has to use one of the three times she asks the Winged Monkeys for help, and then the Monkey King says they can’t help her?
Focus on .. castles
Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Lion agree to seek help from Glinda and travel to her castle in the south.
