What happens?
Dorothy sets the Lion free and tells him what happened to the Wicked Witch. The Winkies are happy to rescue and repair the Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow and the friends are reunited. While Dorothy is filling her basket with food, she spies the Golden Cap and decides to wear it for their journey back to the Emerald City.
Have a think ..
Take a moment to think about these questions:
‘If our friends, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman, were only with us,’ said the Lion, ‘I should be quite happy.’
Dorothy and the Lion really miss their friends. How have you been staying in touch with your friends during lockdown?
How can the Scarecrow come back to life just from his clothes?
What are your favourite holidays to celebrate?
Focus on friendship
In the Wonderful Wizard of Oz one of the things that stands out is the friendship between the group.
