More to explore about the Munchkin village

The Munchkins in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz are described as

not as big as the grown folk she had always been used to; but neither were they very small. In fact, they seemed about as tall as Dorothy

That means the Munchkin village must have been Munchkin sized too.

Use these websites and videos to explore some more miniature work.

There are lots of miniature works of art. Japanese people used small carvings called netsuke to attach pockets to their clothes. They are carved out of bone, ivory, wood and stone, and are small enough to fit into your hand.

Explore this collection of netsuke in 3D.
