{"id":348,"date":"2020-05-19T15:55:17","date_gmt":"2020-05-19T15:55:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/samgroupnlc\/?page_id=348"},"modified":"2020-05-19T15:58:49","modified_gmt":"2020-05-19T15:58:49","slug":"atlas","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/samgroupnlc\/atlas\/","title":{"rendered":"ATLAS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/atlas.callscotland.org.uk\/common-assets\/cm-files\/images\/atlas-logo.jpg\" alt=\"ATLAS\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Assistive Technology for Learning Across Scotland<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SAM Group are a member of ATLAS meeting twice per year with our colleagues from all over Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>More Information about ATLAS:<\/p>\n<div class=\"divcent\">\n<p>ATLAS is the new name for the group known as ICTSLS (ICT to Support Learning in Scotland).<br \/>\nIt is a national group of primarily educational practitioners working in the field of technology to support children and young people with Additional Support Needs and \/ or disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The group primarily communicates online via a Google Group forum and provide support for each other: answering questions, sharing resources and suggesting solutions to problems posted.\u00a0 ATLAS meets twice a year in person to discuss a wide range of current issues on the topic of inclusive digital technologies, educational practices, legislation, Professional Learning opportunities as well as hearing from invited guests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recent items that have been presented at ATLAS meetings<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How the use of speech recognition software has motivated learners with autism spectrum conditions to produce written work independently<\/li>\n<li>Pupil Equity Fund money: what inclusive digital technologies can support closing the poverty related attainment gap and how could they be introduced in a Universal Design for Learning model<\/li>\n<li>Literacy support software supplier showing latest products and focussing on accessibility features<\/li>\n<li>Local authority tightening budgets and ensuring children and young people with additional support needs are being provided with the right assistive technology to help them access the curriculum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions about this group, email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:call.scotland@ed.ac.uk\">call.scotland@ed.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"divcent\">\n<h2>CALL Assistive Technology (AT) Community<\/h2>\n<p>We have created a new email forum, &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/CALL-AT-COMMUNITY\"><strong>CALL Assistive Technology (AT) Community<\/strong><\/a>&#8216;.
