It\u2019s been another busy week for our Primary 1 and Primary 1\/2 learners. We had great fun at the forest exploring the outdoors. We made dens, climbed, looked for diamonds and spotted some creatures hiding in the soil. We have had lots of fun learning our new sounds and impressed our teachers with our reading this week. Purposeful play is our favourite and we\u2019ve had lots of opportunities to build, create, explore and problem solve. During maths, we finished our money topic. We can\u2019t wait to start using our learning to buy items from the shops. During writing this week we realised that nobody knew it was the Spring disco next week. We decided we would make some posters to put around the school to remind everyone when it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

20.3.26<\/h2>\n

P1 and P1\/2 really enjoyed our outdoor learning session on Wednesday. The sun was shining and the smiles were beaming. We climbed, balanced, shared, supported, questioned, tested, imagined, problem solved and developed our gross motor control skills! That\u2019s a lot of learning!!!! We just thought we were having fun!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

13.3.26<\/h2>\n

This week Primary 1 and 1\/2 have had lots of fun learning across the classroom! In phonics we have been practising the digraphs\u00a0<\/span>sh, ch, th and ng, using them in our reading and writing. Our rainforest topic has continued, where we created beautiful\u00a0rainforest layer artwork\u00a0and learned about\u00a0food chains, thinking about which animals eat others in the rainforest. We also enjoyed spending time with our\u00a0Primary 6 buddies, sharing activities and building friendships. Alongside this, the children have been developing their\u00a0play skills through lots of imaginative and cooperative play, as well as continuing to build confidence in their\u00a0reading. It has been a busy and exciting week of learning!\u00a0\ud83c\udf3f\ud83d\udcda<\/p>\n

6.3.26<\/h2>\n
P1 and P1\/2 have been learning about money in maths. Through our play we have been exploring coins and are learning to recognise them, order them and even count them! We are becoming more confident through learning activities such as iPad games, playing in our rainforest cafe, sorting coins and playing different money games.<\/div>\n

In literacy, the Primary 2 children have been learning all about the magic e phoneme. We made some magical spelling pictures using white crayons and paint. Our magic revealed our magic e words! Ask us at home about some magic e words that we know.<\/div>\n

Miss Purdon thoroughly enjoyed spending a Golden Book session with this cheerful group from Primary 1 and Primary 1\/2!\u00a0 I had the pleasure of reading lots of fabulous pieces of writing in your jotters.\u00a0 From important messages to encourage others to dispose of their litter responsibly, to imaginative stories inspired by books read by your teachers…so impressive!\u00a0 I also enjoyed learning about Addition lessons in Numeracy and was lucky enough to hear a few of your favourite number songs.\u00a0 Learning in Primary 1 and Primary 1\/2 sounds like so much fun, no wonder you all have such big smiles on your faces!\u00a0 Thank you for sharing your learning with me, I can’t wait to visit again soon!<\/p>\n\n\t\t
