Growing cress
Take a look at the cress we’ve been growing with Mrs Rutherford.
Open Morning
Thank you to everyone who came to visit our class on Friday.
Writing
Today we played a fun writing game. We were all given a subject and then we had 10 minutes to create a short story on that subject. We then shared our story with our talk buddies.
Maths Stations
Today we were revising a few of the addition strategies we have been working on. We visited 5 different maths stations.
We worked on doubles, near doubles, bridging through 10 and number bonds. We also played some maths games and used the i-pads to play sumdog.
Addition Strategies
Today we were working on the addition strategy – bridging through 10.
The Rainforest
Today we had fun researching facts about the rainforest.
Then we created our own rainforest pictures.
Word games
Today we had lots of fun playing a variety of word games to help us with our spelling and reading.
PE days
Our PE days have changed. We now have PE on a Thursday and a Friday. On a Thursday, it will be with the coach so children can come to school wearing joggers and a school polo shirt.
Thanks 😃
Homework
Term 3 Homework
- Each child has been given a new homework grid to complete this term.
- Jotters can be placed in the homework basket on a Monday.
- It is up to you how many boxes you do in a week.
- For other homework ideas, check in with the blog to see what else we have been working on in class.
- Have fun completing the tasks.
- Please note that due to issues with missing reading books, there maybe times in the term when your child’s reading book will be kept in class. Please take this opportunity to read a book/magazine/newspaper you have at home.
Thanks for all of your support with homework this year.
