Maths
- Take away time challenge – write down 5 subtraction sums then time how long it takes you to complete them.
- Groups of 2 – we have started to think about grouping in 2’s. Use various items to practise grouping in 2’s. Write down your findings – 1 group of 2 is 2 etc
- 3D objects at home Ask children to write down five real-life examples of different 3D objects in their home and, if they can, to give the mathematical name of the 3D object, e.g. toilet roll is a cylinder.Literacy
- We have been learning about question marks and exclamation marks. Can you write 4 sentences, 2 using question marks, 2 using exclamation marks. Remember your capital letters.
- Read your book every night and remember to bring your reading book into school each day.
- We have been working on true or false questions in class. Get an adult to ask you some true or false questions about your book.

- Continue with your research of a Scottish city
- Clyde Football club will be providing us with 4 weeks of football training. The sessions will be on a Wednesday afternoon on the following dates – 31st Jan, 7th Feb, 21st Feb and the 28th Can children please bring suitable footwear and p.e. kit on these dates. Thanks

- 2 times table challenge – Continue to revise the 2 times table. How quickly can you chant/write/sing your 2 times table.
- We have begun looking at the 5 times table. Think about grouping things in 5’s.

- We have been learning about commas in lists. Finish these sentences by adding things you may buy and putting the commas in the correct position.
