It can be helpful to think about developing 4 zones within your learning environment. The zones should be clear for the children and adult but there are crossovers as many learning experiences cover lots of different aspects of learning and children may want to move resources from one place to another. However as a guide to setting up the environment it is useful to think in terms of the Social Zone, the Discovery Zone, the Creative Zone and the Outdoor Zone.
