Literacy experiences should weave, build and grow children&#8217;s interests, vocabulary and knowledge.  Literacy learning should encourage children to see themselves as readers and writers, through purposeful experiences which build on the way children use literacy (Realising the Ambition, 2020).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professional Learning Resource<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Education Scotland has a Professional Learning Resource which examines Learning to Read in the Early Years.
