She is\u00a0 looking for children to be asking parents\/grandparents\/other family members about their knowledge and experiences of the Gala Day, past and present. We will be using this information to widen our knowledge and look at the changes from over the years. Photographs would be greatly received too! <strong>Children should record their research in their homework jotters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to members of the gala day committee for offering to come in and speak to the children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other homework<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Literacy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Spelling bees &#8211; &#8216;gn&#8217; phoneme &#8211; sign, gnome, design, gnaw, gnash. Common words &#8211; list, must, most, high, late.<\/p>\n<p>Super spellers &#8211; spelling rule 7 &#8211; give, take, make, dance, hope, write, drive, smile, slide, bake. Add the ending using the spelling rule.<\/p>\n<p>Both groups to choose one fun spelling method to practise words.
