Kilbowie day 1!

We have only been in kilbowie for a few hours yet all the children have had so much fun already! They’re now all kitted out and sorted with waterproofs for the next few days activities. A few children have already enjoyed some canoing and jumping into the sea.

Tonight the children have all participated in and enjoyed an airport running game and scavenger hunt in their friendship teams. They are now about to have some birthday cake for supper, then it’s time for bed with lights out at 10:30. Judging by some of their faces, they are all ready for plenty of sleep (we hope!)

Harvest Assembly

On the 9th of October Plains Primary had a Harvest assembly. Weeks before the Harvest assembly we were asked to bring in food for Plains food bank.

Primary 1/2 told us how Jews celebrate the Harvest festival of Sukkot.

At our Harvest assembly the minister of Elim gospel hall, Graeme Paterson came in to tell us a bit about a story  in the Bible. He also did a blind taste test with one of our teachers and 2 pupils.

At the end of the assembly 2 people representing Plains foodbank took the food to give to people  without food.

P6/7 Light Workshop

Primary 6/7 had a very enjoyable and informative trip this week to Summerlee to take part in a light workshop.

They were able to investigate light by carrying out a number of experiments and learned a lot from artist, Kenny Bean, about how light is made and manipulated.
