Energy Drinks

Today we had lots of interesting discussion regarding energy drinks. We discovered that altbough they may taste nice and can give us an energy ‘boost’ they are very bad for our health. We investigated the amount of sugar and caffeine in different brands of energy juice and were shocked by the results.

Similes in the Snow

Today we had GREAT fun writing similes in the snow.

Some of our ideas were:

as crisp as an apple

as crunchy as cornflakes

as deep as the ocean

as cold as ice

We then used our super similes to write Snow poems. Our teacher loved them! Go P7/6!

We are all very excited as Wonder is now out in the cinema. Lots of us have been hearing about it on the radio and the TV. Although we have finished reading the novel, we will never forget our motto, Choose kind.

We have a WINNER!

We got a fantastic surprise this afternoon to find out that one of our classmates won the giant sweet hamper from the Micro Tyco competition! We gave him a huge round of applause and also had a sneak peek to see some of the cool sweets he had won. WELL DONE!

Building Bridges

P7 spent time today at Dalziel High School working with ICE. We learned lots about engineering and how Maths and Science are used in the real world. We worked well as a team and this lead us to building a bridge that was safe enough to walk across.
