Happy Health Week

October 13, 2017 by LConway | 1 Comment

We have had a fantastic Health Week in P7/6.

We have taken part in so many physical activities including Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi and Dance. We even played some P.E. games with a teacher from Braidhurst High School.

We learned 5 key ways to keep healthy from St. Andrew’s Hospice and Healthy Hounds taught us how to keep dogs healthy.

In P7 we earned our level 3 Heartstart certificate after learning how to perform CPR. In P6 we learned how to help when someone is having a heart attack and we practised the recovery position.

Check out some of our highlights in our photos.

In P7 we attended the annual Dalziel High School show. We really enjoyed the performance and lots of us can’t wait to get involved in this next year.

Baptism

In RME we have been learning about Baptism in Christianity. We took the time to share some photographs of children in our class who have been baptised and discuss their family memories. We all enjoyed this lesson very much!

Say NO to bullying!

October 13, 2017 by LConway | 0 comments

In P7/6 we have been learning about peer pressure and bullying. We have had debates, discussions, written scripts, performed scenes and much more!

We think that this is an important issue for children of all ages so decided to make posters to raise awareness of strategies to help people deal with bullying and peer pressure.

Here are are some photos of us hard at work with our partners.

House Captain Speeches

October 13, 2017 by LConway | 0 comments

In Primary 7 we are given the chance to represent our houses as Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects.

We all worked really hard on writing, practising and delivering our speeches. We are all very proud of ourselves and so is our teacher!
